Designed to lean into a clean tech aesthetic, for an app where pearls signify milestones in engagement.

Challenge: Designing medals that align with a brand identity. Building upon the familiarity of current tech aesthetics (of brands such as Apple), and luxury beach culture of places like Malibu and Miami. 

Solution: Creating a system of iconography that shows progression in user activity. Starting with minor achievements being rewarded with closed or half closed shells, up until earning different types of pearls inspired by ones such as Light Blue, Rosaline or Gold pearls. The value of the medal can be derived through color use and the real value of the different types of pearls being portrayed.
