Before Späti was Späti it was Ventana. A San Francisco start up created to create a communal space within convenience stores.
Challenge: Designing a universe that ties in 2023 grunge culture with 1920's inspired cartoons.
Solution: To achieve this, the identity blends warm vintage-inspired color palettes, subtle Art Deco–leaning typography, and tactile, time-worn textures with bold, distressed graphic elements and the attitude of modern street culture. This contrast creates a mood that is both welcoming and rebellious, aligning with the hybrid nature of the space: part neighborhood stop-in, part curated social spot.
